This is a stunning new hardback catalogue designed by Neil Pardington. 65 full-colour images are accompanied by thought-provoking texts from Ken Hall and Anna-Marie White and an interview by Lara Strongman. This publication accompanies the exhibition of the same name at Christchurch Art Gallery from 6 November 2009 - 14 March 2010.

Pardington has photographed the generally unseen storage areas of museums and art galleries. Just as the way in which objects are selected and displayed in museums tells as much about the culture that selects and displays them as it does about the things themselves, so too is the way in which objects are stored unseen resonant with commentary on the society stores them thus.  - Thomas
