Ian lives in Matamata where he is the Media and Communications Manager for Hobbiton Movie Set. He is also the author of the highly successful aviation series, Warbirds over Wanaka, and in 2005 he was awarded an MNZM for services to tourism. A devoted Tolkien fanatic, keen photographer and movie fan, he is currently working on another movie-related book.
