Karen Warren was born in Wellington, obtained a degree in town planning from the University of Auckland and moved to Nelson with her husband John in 1984. For over 20 years she has worked as a resource management planner including in her own consultancy. As well as raising her family, she has represented New Zealand in both World Duathlon and Triathlon Championships. Rolling Stones is her first book.
