Here are 16 months of classic North American farm tractors from John Deere, International Harvester, Ford, Samson, Allis-Chalmers, and more! "Vintage Farm Tractors" features color photographs for each of these gloriously restored machines.
Photographer-author Ralph W. Sanders has photographed tractors for more than 40 years. He grew up on an Illinois farm, where he had ample opportunity to "exercise" a number of tractor models, including a 1933 Farmall F-12, 1948 Farmall C, Farmall H, Farmall MD, and McCormick W-6. He has worked as Illinois field editor for "Prairie Farmer"; as associate editor for "Successful Farming"; and as a full-time freelance agricultural photographer for "Successful Farming," Deere & Company, Massey-Ferguson, Kinze, Vermeer, DuPont, Monsanto and others. Sanders is the author of several books from Voyageur Press, including "The Farm Tractor, " and the photographer for DuPont's long-running "Classic Tractors" calendar. He lives in West Des Moines, Iowa.
