The Final Account

Author(s): Greg Wilson

Fiction - Thriller

The unexpected death of his grandfather in Cornwall results in Chris Davenport discovering hidden journals which reveal explosive information. Matthew Forbes past as an Allied intelligence officer is buried no longer. But someone else wants these journals, enough to nearly kill Chris in the process of stealing one of them from him. While Chriss mother Jessica, a candidate in the upcoming US presidential election, remains seemingly oblivious to this threat to her campaign, Chris himself is drawn into a search for answers. The trail begins sixty years ago, in a Europe devastated by war and fascism. The journal is proof that the fate of stolen millions that so many innocents had died for and others will kill for has not been taken to the grave with Matthew Forbes. As Chris, with the help of his girlfriend Anna, struggles to unravel the mystery, he must keep one step ahead of the evil from the past to protect those he loves. But he may be fighting an enemy that is closer to home than he could ever have imagined. Greg Wilson was born in Melbourne in 1952 and grew up there and in New Zealand. At twenty, his enthusiasm for business drew him away from a partly finished commerce degree and into a decade of experience in a variety of fields before he found his niche in the world of property and finance. In 1986 Greg established his own development and investment company and since then he has pursued a fascinating range of property and commercial interests, many involving extensive international business dealings. He lives in Brisbane with his personal and business partner, Vicki Bock. Paperback (A-Format)
