Author(s): Neil MacGregor
Takes an original approach to the history of humanity, using objects which previous civilisations have left behind them, often accidentally, as prisms through which we can explore past worlds and the lives of the men and women who lived in them.
I recently purchased A History of the World in 100 Objects. This book was produced as a companion to the BBC Radio series. It's a beautifully produced book, and one you want to devour slowly. Neil MacGregor, Director of the British Museum, gives us a wonderful lens through which to view our human history. You need this book on your shelf! - Stella
